Position Summary

We are seeking a high-level General Superintendent to join our New York City operations. In this role, you will provide field management leadership to Superintendents, Foremen, and crews. Projects typically focus on concrete repair, masonry restoration, waterproofing, and structural strengthening within commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Manage field operations and provide guidance to multiple field managers and crews.
• Planning: Participate in pre-project and pre-task planning, disseminating details to field teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Team Management: Motivate team members, coordinate work activities, and assign tasks based on material and labor requirements.
• Safety & Compliance: Champion a 24/7 safety culture, ensuring all tools and equipment are operated properly and safely.
• Operational Support: Assist Project Managers in evaluating production rates, completing essential paperwork, and managing project documentation.
• Talent Development: Lead the interviewing and hiring of new field employees and provide ongoing training to staff.

Candidate Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: 12+ years in general construction, with at least 5 years in a field management role (Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, or above).
• Technical Expertise: Experience in specialty repair projects, including concrete repair, structural strengthening, building façade, corrosion control, and historic restoration.
• Project Scope: Proven ability to manage 3–8 projects simultaneously.
• Skills: * Ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and contract specifications.
• Proficiency in producing look-ahead schedules.
• Intermediate computer and construction math skills.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, crews, and project teams.
• Certifications: Must possess a current TWIC card or have the ability to obtain one via federal background checks.
